The temple’s Outer Court
The Outer Court run by the Temple of the Dark Moon offers intermediatory training into the arts magica for neophytes who are interested in undertaking and aligning their knowledge in readiness to undertake eventual initiation into the priesthood of the Alexandrian Tradition of witchcraft.
Outer Court neophyte attends specific training that are held on a fortnightly basis, as well as being able to participate in sabbats and all public esbats.
At any time from entry into the Outer Court and up to a period of six months, they are able to approach the Temple’s High Priestess with respect to their progress and possible transition into the Inner Court through the process of Dedication and Initiation, subject to vacancies.
However, should no expression of interest in progression be received during this time, an evaluation of attendance contribution will be made. This may result in the neophyte being asked to consider their ability to commit, or warrant them stepping aside to enable another interested person to gain entry into the Outer Court.
IMPORTANT
The objective of the Temple’s Outer Court is to provide neophytes with suitable experience and training for them to ascertain whether the vocation of priesthood is for them. It should not be consider a social club, or a “holding station” until something else becomes fashionable.
Vocation into the priesthood of the Craft is not an easy one, nor is it for everyone. When a seeker decides to make the assay, it should be undertaken with full commitment.
