As part of the Practical Magic series, learn how to Make Your Own Poppet or Effigy.
The use of poppets (or “attraction dolls”) date back to ancient Babylonia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. From binding deities for defensive purposes (as the instance of the Greece Kolossoi) to the Hollywood inspired “Voodoo” dolls, poppets are basically effigies (images) of a person made from paper, clay, fabric, steel, corn husks or any other suitable material.
In this workshop you will craft your own personal poppet for whatever purpose you desire** – be it for:
health and healing,
protection,
success with study,
to gain employment,
fertility,
establishing positive relationships,
removing negative influences.

The majority of items to construct your personal poppet or effigy will be included in the price of this workshop, such as: fabric, stuffing, herbs, crystals/stones, parchment paper, beads, thread/cord, charms, paint etc.
Depending on the purpose of your poppet, however, you may be required to bring additional items. This will be advised upon registration for this workshop.
