Gathering Around the Cauldron
The Gathering Around the Cauldron meetups are semi-regular gatherings offer the opportunity for the genuine seeker, novice or solitary to gain practical experience when it comes to working magic and ritual through the lens of contemporary witchcraft.
Each gathering is unique and may include a ritual, meditation or some other practice relating to that particular topic. Any ritual being offered will be within the framework found within contemporary witchcraft and as such, attendees will be required to participate. If you are new to ritual structure, verbal instructions will be provided to ensure that everyone is able to benefit from the group experience.
Please note that you do not have be align yourself with contemporary witchcraft to attend the Gathering Around the Cauldron meetups - these are open to everyone.
Each gathering will be held from 12 noon until approximately 3:00pm upstairs at Carpe Diem with Remi, 158 Commercial Road, Port Adelaide.
Casual attendance welcome. As there are limited places available, booking are essential and can be purchased through Humanitix.
In this three hour workshop, learn how to:
:: Cleanse your home of negative energies using sprays and commonly found herbs.
:: Create effective protective boundaries around your home ensuring that it remains a safe space for you and your loved ones.
:: Construct your own protective talisman for your home or car.
:: Learn how to make protective floor washes.
:: Understand why some techniques found on social media may not actually be as effective as claimed.
This workshop will instruct you on how to cleanse your home utilising a number of techniques, herbs, and sacred practices that how been handed down for many hundreds of years. Through learning how to effectively cleanse and protect your home, you also protect against spirits, psychic attacks and negative energy.
All materials are included in the cost of this workshop for you to make a protective talisman for your home or car, as well as other items.

Entering the Circle of a Witch
The magical circle is created in order to keep the energetic power a witch raises contained, as well as to protect the witch and their working from the influence of unwanted spirits and other entities. In this practical workshop you will learn how to:
:: Manifest and direct your own personal energy.
:: Why creating an energetic boundary is important when it comes to working magic.
:: How to create and maintain a magical circle within a group situation or as a solitary.
:: Experience alternative methods and techniques that can be utilised.
Group participation is expected in this workshop as witchcraft is experiential - meaning in order to understand the practices, you need to experience it.
The techniques taught in this workshop will be beneficial should you attend any of the Temple of the Dark Moon’s public rites (i.e., Full Moon Gatherings), or if you desire to join the Temple’s study circle.

Honouring Ancestors, Spirits and the Beloved Dead
Considered to be the most sombre of all the seasonal festivals, Samhain is also the time when the veils are at their thinnest between the worlds, and when communing with loved ones who have gone before is common practice.
In this workshop we will be exploring what the concept of what "ancestor" means, before honouring those who have gone before us, whose DNA flows through our blood and bones, the names remembered and those whose names have been forgotten, as well as spirit ancestors, those of place, the Genius loci, and more.
This gathering will also include a Dark Moon Ancestor release working where group participation will be expected.

A Witch’s Apothecary
Are you drawn to herb craft, resins, and other botanicals, yet are unsure about their usages? Maybe you are desiring to establish your own apothecary, but do not know where to start?
When it comes to the magical practice of magic and witchcraft, the art of crafting your own herbal products enable you to add a deeper level of success to your magical workings. In this workshop, we will be exploring the use of herbs and other botanicals found within the witch’s craft, from folklore through to modern magical as well as medicinal uses.
Discover the best practices when it comes to growing, buying and storing herbs.
Explore the planetary associations of herbs.
Learn how to cleanse, consecrate and empower your herbs when it comes to magical workings.
What herbs can be substituted and what ones cannot.
There will also be a practical element where you will be making your own herbal gris-gris bag.

Making a Magical Poppet
The use of poppets (or “attraction dolls”) date back to ancient Babylonia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. From binding deities for defensive purposes (as the instance of the Greece Kolossoi) to the Hollywood inspired “Voodoo” dolls, poppets are basically effigies (images) of a person made from paper, clay, fabric, steel, corn husks or any other suitable material.
In this workshop you will craft your own personal poppet for whatever purpose you desire** – be it for:
:: health and healing,
:: protection,
:: success with study,
:: to gain employment,
:: fertility,
:: establishing positive relationships,
:: removing negative influences.
Included in the price are most materials needed in the construction of your poppet such as fabric, stuffing, herbs, crystals/stones, parchment paper, beads, thread/cord, charms, paint etc.
** Depending on the purpose of your poppet, you may be required to bring additional personal items. This will be advised upon registration for this workshop.

To Protect or Curse ~ The Ethics of a Witch
In this workshop we will be exploring whether or not ethics relate to the magic a witch will craft, the energetic transfer and possible “side effects” of baneful magics, as well as other practices that may be more suitable in those “tricky” situations.
All of us are guided by personal morals and ethics, so too is our magic. Within contemporary witchcraft, one of the guiding markers is the often misunderstood Wiccan Rede, “an it harm none, do what thy will”. Explore what this actually means, especially when it comes to cursing ~ you could very well be surprised.
In this workshop you will be crafting a personal protective item that can be used within your house, car or workspace.
