Due to other commitments, the Temple of the Dark Moon's intensive six week course, "The Wytch's Circle", will not occur until 2011. In its place, a monthly study circle is being offered instead.

The next Wicca and Magick Study Circle will commence in July 2010, with the monthly emphasis being on practical application and ritual working as opposed to theory.

Taken from a more traditional Wicca perspective, each month particular aspects of the Wiccan religion will be explained by an experienced Wiccan High Priestess. Relying on personal experience, the knowledge shared will prove invaluable for those interested in following the Wiccan religion.

The focus of this study circle will centre around practical application – that is, the creation of ritual and the crafting of magick, as well as some basic theory with respect to Wicca as a religion. During the course of the circle, participants will learn:

Topics covered within this course include:

• Introduction to the philosophies and ethics of Wicca.

• Creating a sacred space and working ritual through practical experience.
  

• Raising and working with energy.

• The Southern Wheel of the Year – the sacred festivals within Wicca as how they relate to the Southern Hemisphere.

• Creating specific herbal charms and magickal talismans.

• Blending magickal oils and making personal incenses.

• Writing and working ritual as a group as well as solitary workings

• Understanding the power of chant and vibration.
  

• Meditation, mind control and visualisation.

And much more.

All participants receive a "starter pack" that includes a copy of the Temple's 30-paged "Practical Wicca" booklet, charcoal disks, an assortment of herbs and resins for incense making, candles, cotton cloth bags (for charm making), as well as various other materials that will be provided each month.

Throughout the study circle, participants will also be invited to join the Temple's Inner Court at our private Sabbats and camps, as well as other events and workshops.

Conclusion of the study circle at the end of each calendar year may lead to entry into the Temple's Outer Court.

Initial Investment: $20.00 "starter fee" to accompany registration form. Thereafter a monthly circle fee of $10.00 or $5.00 with a can donation for the Animal Welfare League.
